Potential oversight issues for Congress for FY2011 for the CVN-78 program include the following: Did shifting carrier procurement to five-year intervals put carrier procurement on a more fiscally sustainable path? Where do the estimated procurement costs of CVNs 78, 79, and 80 stand in relation to the unit procurement cost caps for the CVN-78 program that were established by Section 122 of the FY2007 defense authorization act (H.R. 5122/P.L. 109-364 of October 17, 2006)?
