Defense Acquisitions: How DOD Acquires Weapons Systems and Recent Efforts to Reform the Process
This report provides an overview of the process by which DOD acquires weapon systems. This report also briefly discusses recent major efforts by Congress and the Department of Defense to improve the performance of the acquisition system.
